In the plugin settings, there are several tabs responsible for various groups of plugin settings.

General Settings

Load Preset

The plugin provides several presets with settings and also you can use your custom settings set.

  • Default (Optimized default settings)
  • iPhone (Settings similar to scrolling on the iPhone)
  • Opera (Opera browser scrolling settings set)
  • IE (Internet Explorer scrolling settings set)
  • Custom

Step size (in pixels)

This parameter sets by how many pixels the page will be scrolled with each click of the mouse scroll wheel. From 1 to 999 pixels.

Animation time (in milliseconds)

This parameter shows the duration of the page scrolling animation each time you spin the mouse wheel. From 0 to 999 milliseconds.

Acceleration scale

This parameter sets the scroll acceleration. Any integer is accepted.

Acceleration delta (in milliseconds)

The time elapsed between scrolling events. The smaller this parameter, the more often the scrolling acceleration is triggered. From 0 to 999 milliseconds.

Pulse Scale

The ratio of “tail” to “acceleration”. It affects how long the deceleration part is. Any integer is acceptable.

Arrow key step size (in pixels)

This parameter sets how many pixels the page will scroll with each time you press the scroll key on the keyboard. The higher means more scrolling each time you press an arrow key.

Scrolling to anchor

The option allows you to apply smooth scrolling when switching to anchor links.

Enable keyboard support

This checkbox enables and disables keyboard support. Adds Smoother for Arrow keys, PgUp/PgDown, Spacebar, Home/End.

Enable pulse algorithm

This checkbox enables/disable easing to the scrolling animations.

Enable for all browsers

By default Smoother works only in WebKit based browsers. This option enables Smoother in all browsers, such as Firefox.

Enable in admin area

The toggle allows you to enable/disable the smooth scrolling for the admin area.

Save Changes

Do not forget to click Save Changes after changing plugin settings. After clicking this button, the settings will be saved and applied to all pages of the website.

Use the shortcode [ disable_smoother ] to disable the smooth scrolling on a page.
